Occupational / Physical Therapy
Occupational Therapy
Occupational Therapists or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants provide special assistance to eligible students so that they may overcome physical, sensory, and motor deficits that are interfering with their educational progress. Occupational Therapy services are designed to help a student develop the underlying skills necessary for learning and the performance of specific tasks. Therapy also provides special equipment and adapted academic material to help a student function as independently as possible in an educational setting.

Physical Therapy
Physical Therapists and Physical Therapy Assistants provide services for eligible students with gross motor delays, physical disabilities, and/ or movement dysfunctions that may interfere with their access, independence, and safety in the educational setting. Physical Therapy services are designed to facilitate gross motor development, improve postural control, balance, developmental transitions and mobility. In addition, physical therapy works on maximizing students' independence, through staff training, and/or selecting assistive technology necessary to access the educational setting.
